Adam Lambert Releases New Singles ‘Lube’ and ‘Wet Dream’ from Upcoming EP.
Adam Lambert has dropped two new singles today, ‘Lube’ and ‘Wet Dream’, as a preview of his upcoming EP. The EP, titled ‘Afters’, is set to be released on July 19 through The Orchard. You can check out the singles below.
The new songs are described as an exploration of sexuality and liberation, capturing the essence of modern queer culture with pulsating beats and sultry lyrics. Lambert expressed that the writing process for these tracks was filled with joy and laughter, reflecting a new chapter in his artistry where he embraces authenticity without filters. Both songs focus on connection and turning fantasies into reality.
Lambert shared his inspiration for the EP, stating, “Creating ‘Afters’ has been a liberating experience. I aimed to craft an EP of house music that is unapologetically queer and sex-positive, inspired by wild nights and giving voice to our communities’ desires. ‘Afters’ is meant to make you move, sweat, fantasize, and connect!”
In related news, there has been speculation about a hologram show featuring Freddie Mercury. Lambert has been performing with Queen since 2011.
The organization overseeing Mercury’s solo works reportedly filed for a trademark related to virtual reality and 3D experiences, hinting at the possibility of a digital avatar show similar to ABBA’s Voyage shows in London.
Brian May, Queen’s guitarist, has previously mentioned the idea of a hologram show, indicating that while it’s been discussed, the band’s focus remains on live performances. May expressed that any hologram show would likely be considered after the band members have passed away.
