The Braxtons are making a comeback on WE tv with a new reality show dedicated to honoring Traci Braxton.
Fans of “Braxton Family Values” might have thought the Braxtons were done with reality TV after Tamar Braxton’s struggles, including her public statements about feeling misrepresented on the show and her spin-off, which led her to leave BFV. Following this, Tamar’s contract was terminated. She was also facing challenges in her personal life with her tumultuous relationship with David Adefeso. The tensions extended to her relationship with Traci Braxton, leading to on-screen clashes and social media drama. Some fans believed that ending the show was necessary for the sisters to mend their relationship.
Traci Braxton tragically passed away from cancer after the cancellation of “Braxton Family Values.” Towanda Braxton expressed a wish for the show’s continuation to share their family’s stories, particularly their journey through grief. Recently, WE tv unveiled a sneak peek of “The Braxtons,” which will delve into the lives of Tamar, Towanda, Trina Braxton, Toni Braxton, and Evelyn Braxton, both personally and professionally. The show is set to premiere this August.
In the trailer, the family reveals that they are returning to television to fulfill Traci’s final wish.
Toni explains, “The primary reason for reviving the Braxtons is because of Traci.”
Evelyn emphasizes, “She asked us to do this. This was her last wish.”
Towanda mentions that their return is about honoring Traci’s legacy, stating, “I think it’s crucial for us to return to tell Traci’s story.”
Traci had previously expressed her love for filming “Braxton Family Values,” even when it caused friction with her sisters as she stood firm on her stance for fair compensation.
The announcement of “The Braxtons” returning to WE tv to honor Traci Braxton’s memory was first reported by Urban Belle Magazine.
