In addition to the attention-grabbing SKIMS nipple bra this year, Kim Kardashian recently introduced new SKKN lip colors. Balancing her businesses, law studies, reality TV filming, and motherhood, Kim also develops new makeup. However, some fans are not satisfied with her latest product release.
Fans Beg for Fragrance Return
In January 2023, Kim took to Twitter to announce exciting news about her beauty brand, SKKN. She promised new SKKN makeup products for that year. However, these products did not launch until January of this year.
After successful ventures with KKW Beauty and Fragrance, Kim relaunched her company under a different name following her split from Kanye West. She closed down KKW Beauty and Fragrance in 2021 and 2022. Now, she runs SKKN, but fans express dissatisfaction with her latest product drops.
This June, Kim shared new lip colors on Instagram. Six months after SKKN’s first makeup drop, the 43-year-old urged her followers to “pucker up” for the new release.
Kim’s ‘Hot Gloss Girl Summer’
Many of Kim’s fans are excited about her new lip products, with comments like, “We getting glow up this season” and anticipation for a “hot gloss girl summer.” However, many fans used the comments to voice their desire for the return of her fragrances.
Followers repeatedly commented, “Girl.. enough lip products, we want contour and perfume,” and, “Please bring the fragrances back.” One fan passionately wrote, “WE WANT THE PERFUME BACK!!!!”
Fans are particularly keen on a specific scent from Kim’s collection—Crystal Gardenia. Many have turned to Reddit threads in search of a “dupe” for the fragrance.
According to Fragrantica, Crystal Gardenia is described as: “A Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Launched in 2017, the nose behind this fragrance is Nicole Mancini. Top notes are Pear, Water Lily, and Pink Grapefruit; middle notes are Gardenia, Tuberose, and Tiare Flower; base notes are Musk, Sandalwood, and Amber.”
One Reddit user suggested “Donna Karan Cashmere Mist” as a substitute, another mentioned “Elizabeth Taylor Gardenia,” while other fans of Crystal Gardenia plan on “rationing” Kim’s perfume. One fan wrote, “I love the scent so much and I’m so sad it’s gone.”
While Kim continues to innovate and expand her beauty brand, her fans’ longing for the return of her fragrances remains strong.
