Hollywood icon Julia Roberts, known for her roles in “Pretty Woman” and “Notting Hill,” recently shared a special moment with Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce at a Taylor Swift concert in Dublin. Roberts, a passionate sports enthusiast, expressed a sense of camaraderie with Kelce, highlighting her admiration for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in past interviews.
Roberts, among other A-list celebrities attending Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” in Dublin, was seen enjoying a conversation with Kelce in the VIP section, alongside music legend Stevie Nicks. Their interaction at Aviva Stadium followed Kelce’s surprise appearance during Swift’s London concert at Wembley Stadium with his partner.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show,” Roberts previously praised Mahomes after watching the documentary series “Quarterbacks,” which also featured NFL stars Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota.
Reflecting on the series, Roberts remarked, “I’m a big football fan, but this series changed my perspective. I have immense respect for Patrick Mahomes now; it’s been eye-opening.”
Roberts, who admitted her initial misconception about the quarterback’s role, added, “I felt a connection because like me, his work never stops. There’s always more to learn, prepare for, and understand.”
Alongside Kelce, Mahomes led the Chiefs to another successful NFL season in 2023, culminating in their third Super Bowl victory in five years, defeating the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.
