Jennifer Lopez celebrated the anniversary of her song “Cambia El Paso” amid rumors of a divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck. On Sunday, July 7, Lopez added fuel to the speculation by posting a breakup song on Instagram.
The 54-year-old shared a video of herself dancing on the beach while singing her 2021 track “Cambia el Paso” featuring Rauw Alejandro. She marked the occasion with the caption, “Happy Anniversary Cambia El Paso…” A translated verse from the song hints at life post-breakup: “Her life is better now without him / She knows that her hips don’t fail her / She doesn’t need anyone to be well / She doesn’t fail, she doesn’t fail.”
Lopez, who has been the focus of Hollywood gossip due to the divorce rumors, limited comments on the post. Fans praised the song, with one user analyzing its message: “If something’s not feeling right, whatever it is in your life, just make that change, move, and dance.”
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck was seen in Los Angeles over the 4th of July, still wearing his wedding ring. Despite this, he was not with Lopez, as shown in photos on Page Six.
Recently, the couple has not been seen together. Affleck did not attend The Met Gala, where Lopez was a co-chair, nor did he accompany her to her “Atlas” premiere.
Page Six reported that the couple has been separated since March. They listed their marital home in L.A. and have been living apart. Although neither has made a public statement about their relationship, Lopez subtly addressed the rumors when a reporter in Mexico asked about their marriage. “You know better than that,” she replied.
Following the speculation, Lopez announced through her newsletter that she had canceled her “This Is Me…Now” tour. She expressed her sorrow, writing, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down…Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”
