Zara and Mike Tindall, known for their passion for sports, were seen at Wimbledon on Day 10. The niece of King Charles and her husband, a former rugby player, attended to watch the quarter-final matches on Centre Court.
Despite their royal connections and popularity among royal enthusiasts, Zara and Mike were not seated in the Royal Box. Instead, that honor went to Zara’s older brother, Peter Phillips, the eldest son of Princess Anne. He watched the matches with his new girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, and Queen Camilla. Interestingly, Zara and Mike sat in different seats, and there appears to be a strategic reason behind this arrangement.
Zara, a champion equestrian and mother of three, is also a brand ambassador for several luxury brands, including Rolex, a major sponsor of Wimbledon. Due to this role, she was seated in the section reserved for Rolex invitees rather than with her brother, his girlfriend, and Camilla.
The parents of the Princess of Wales were also at Wimbledon but did not sit in the Royal Box. They did, however, secure these prestigious seats during a previous visit to the tournament last week.
The Royal Box at Wimbledon is exclusive and by invitation only, with just 74 luxury seats available. Invitations are extended to high-profile individuals, including heads of government, tennis world figures, commercial partners, British armed forces, prominent media organizations, and supporters of British tennis.
Queen Camilla enjoyed her day at Wimbledon, watching the quarter-final matches on Centre Court. She looked elegant in a cream linen dress with large giraffe motifs by Anna Valentine and wore a Jack Russell brooch from Van Cleef and Arpels.
Upon arrival, Queen Camilla met former player Laura Robson, who now works in international player relations. The Queen expressed her delight, saying it was “so nice to be able to escape for a day.”
She also took a moment to praise head gardener Martyn Falconer, who has been tending to Wimbledon’s plants for 25 years. “It all looks fantastic. It always looks absolutely perfect,” she complimented him.
Additionally, the Queen had a charming encounter with another Camila, the daughter of Mexican doubles player Santiago Gonzalez. After the young girl introduced herself, the Queen joked, “Fancy having two Camillas here” and asked if she would like a picture together.
