Ozzy Osbourne has apologized to Britney Spears after making negative remarks about her dance videos. The apology came two weeks after his initial criticism.
In an episode of “The Osbournes Podcast” on Tuesday, July 30, Osbourne, 75, said, “Britney, I really owe you an apology. I’m so sorry for making that comment. However, it would be better if you didn’t do the same dance every day. Change a few movements.”
Earlier, Spears, 42, responded to the Osbournes’ comments with a post on Instagram defending actress Kate Beckinsale’s social media presence. In her post on Wednesday, July 17, Spears described the Osbournes as the “most boring family known to mankind” and expressed her desire to tell them to “kindly f—k off.”
The criticism from Osbourne, who called Spears’ dance videos “sad” and “very, very sad,” was made during the July 16 episode of “The Osbournes Podcast.” Osbourne’s comments came in response to a fan question about whether Kelly Osbourne would participate in viral TikTok dance challenges. Kelly Osbourne, 39, responded that she doesn’t know how to do TikTok dances and doesn’t plan to try them.
Sharon Osbourne also shared her opinion, calling Spears a “poor little thing.”
Despite the criticism, Spears seemed undeterred. She posted a new dance video on Instagram on Wednesday, showcasing her moves in a white top and pink bikini bottoms.
Earlier that day, Spears had also supported Beckinsale, who faced backlash for her recent social media posts. In her Instagram post, Spears praised Beckinsale and defended her against critics who suggested her content was inappropriate for her age.
Spears wrote, “I adore Kate Beckinsale especially because she’s from London 🇬🇧!!! I realized how incredibly cruel people were talking about her IG saying she needs more age-appropriate content. She’s in her 50s and I thought it was pretty badass how she responded with a mini bow in her hair looking literally 4 years old.”
Spears, who has faced similar criticism, related to Beckinsale’s experience. She added, “I know what it’s like to be judged so it’s a ridiculous and stupid subject initially. But I think it’s important to HELP EACH OTHER and invite each other to places that help our souls grow !!!”
