Mindy Kaling recently shared a charming note her 6-year-old daughter, Kit, wrote for the Tooth Fairy on Instagram, prompting Chrissy Teigen to offer some humorous advice.
On Tuesday, August 6, Kaling posted a photo showing the note from Kit, which read, “Dear Tooth Fairy, Please take my tooth!! Love, Kit,” dated August 4. The picture featured Kaling sitting on her daughter’s bed, holding the note while Kit wrote her message.
In the comments, Teigen joked about what to do if the Tooth Fairy forgets to visit Kit. “If you forget, and I always do, there is a sweet letter online where she talks about how busy she was the night before lol,” Teigen wrote. Kaling responded, “So many teeth on so many children.”
Kaling, a mother of three, welcomed her third child, daughter Anne, earlier this year. In June, she announced Anne’s arrival on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt message alongside photos of her baby bump, her in the hospital bed with her older two kids, and a picture of Anne with her siblings, Kit and Spencer.
“In late February, I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She’s the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined,” Kaling wrote. “When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life. I’m so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!”
Since her first pregnancy announcement in 2017, Kaling has kept the identity of her children’s father private. However, she does have help raising her kids. In a 2021 interview with PEOPLE, Kaling mentioned that “it absolutely takes a village,” crediting her nanny, her father Avu, and Reese Witherspoon, whom she calls “a great source of parenting advice.”
