Kenny Chesney is set to make history this spring as the first country artist to headline Las Vegas’ cutting-edge Sphere. His residency, which kicks off on May 22, was officially announced on Thursday.
Chesney, known for his massive stadium tours, is excited to bring a new experience to his loyal fans. “I’m always looking for ways to deepen the way No Shoes Nation experiences this music,” he says. “The response from my fans over the years shows me how much these songs mean to them, and I want to give them even more.”
The Sphere, a 17,600-seat venue that has hosted acts like U2, The Eagles, Phish, Dead & Company, and electronic artist Anyma, offers state-of-the-art 4D technology and immersive sound that promises to transform the live music experience. Chesney is eager to bring his show to the venue, excited by its unique capabilities. “This is going to be a whole new way of rocking the fans,” he adds. “I can’t wait to share it with No Shoes Nation.”
Chesney agreed to the residency over a year ago, even before attending a show at the Sphere. He recalls his first visit to the venue with his tour team: “We stood on the floor as they ran U2’s film, and we were completely consumed. It wasn’t just about seeing the band—it was like the whole experience was multiplied in another dimension.”
The residency will feature several performances this spring, with tickets going on sale to the public on Friday, January 31, at 10 a.m. PT. Dates for Kenny Chesney’s Las Vegas residency are:
