Netflix’s “Squid Game” Season 2 has quickly become the third most-watched TV season on the platform, with 152.5 million total views. It now ranks behind only the original season of Squid Game (265 million views) and Wednesday (252 million views).
Following its premiere on December 26, the Korean-language drama shattered records. Within just four days, Squid Game Season 2 had already garnered 68 million views, making it Netflix’s largest TV debut to date. By the end of its first 11 days, it had reached 126.2 million views—more than any other Netflix series in that time frame. The series maintained its dominance, spending another week at the top of the non-English TV top 10 list, with Season 1 returning at No. 3.
On the English-language TV chart, Harlan Coben’s limited series Missing You took the No. 1 spot during the week of January 6, with 15.2 million views. It was followed by the historical drama American Primeval at No. 2 with 10.4 million views, and the docuseries Fights, Camera, Action at No. 3 with 7.7 million views. Other notable entries included the debut of WWE Raw at No. 4, Gabriel Iglesias’ comedy special Legend of Fluffy at No. 7, and the spy thriller Black Doves starring Keira Knightley at No. 8.
On the English film chart, Netflix’s thriller Carry-On, which debuted on December 13, continued to perform well, adding 7.2 million views. It secured the No. 2 spot, trailing behind the 2019 film The Secret Life of Pets 2. As expected, kids’ content remained dominant in the film category, with The Secret Life of Pets, Despicable Me movies, and Sonic the Hedgehog all securing top spots.
