The 2024 Billboard Music Awards showcased a star-studded evening with performances and appearances from some of the biggest names in music, including Tyla, Stray Kids, Teddy Swims, and Shaboozey.
Taylor Swift led the evening with 10 awards, cementing her place as one of the night’s biggest winners. The pop superstar took home honors in a variety of categories, including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, and Top Billboard 200 Artist. She also won for Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, and Top Radio Songs Artist. Additionally, Swift claimed awards for Top Billboard Global 200 Artist, Top Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) Artist, and Top Billboard 200 Album for her latest project, The Tortured Poets Department.
Swift’s 10 wins brought her total to 49 career trophies, surpassing Drake as the artist with the most Billboard Music Awards of all time.
Chappell Roan, a first-time nominee, won the coveted Top New Artist award. In a pre-recorded video message, the singer behind “Good Luck, Babe!” expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s been a long journey to be recognized as a new artist, and it’s incredible to see my hard work pay off. Thank you for being a part of that.”
The 2024 awards were based on Billboard’s Year-End Charts, which track music consumption from October 28, 2023, through October 19, 2024.
