Grammy-nominated vocalist Loire Cotler, renowned for her contributions to Dune and as a member of Hans Zimmer’s band, has penned an original song titled Call to Life for Fateh, the action-packed thriller directed by Bollywood star Sonu Sood.
The film follows an ex-special ops operative who investigates a cybercrime syndicate after a young woman falls victim to a scam. Sood not only directs but also stars in the lead role, alongside a talented cast that includes Jacqueline Fernandez (Kill Em All 2), Vijay Raaz (Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3), and Naseeruddin Shah (IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack).
Cotler, known for blending world rhythms with operatic elements, composed Call to Life specifically for one of the film’s high-energy action sequences. “Music is a higher form of communication above everything we’ve invented,” Cotler explained. “The language of Fateh was irrelevant to composing a track for it. When Sonu shared the story with me, his passion was infectious. With Call to Life, I aimed to capture that energy, infusing the scene with light, rhythm, and intensity. It was an incredible experience to see my music and vocals come to life within the sequence.”
The film’s action sequences are coordinated by Hollywood professionals, including fight coordinator Federico Berte (Cobra Kai), choreographer Filip Ciprian Florian (The Woman King), and action director Lee Whittaker (Captain Marvel). A recently released teaser showcases Sood’s character embarking on a “John Wick”-style rampage, with the body count escalating rapidly.
Sood expressed his excitement about the collaboration: “It’s a huge honor to work with Loire Cotler, whose work resonates globally. What’s amazing is that language didn’t matter—music is a universal language. Her powerful composition for Fateh adds a mystical energy to the action sequence. Having her on board wasn’t just a choice, it was essential to create the right impact and offer the best experience to our audience.”
Produced by Sonali Sood and Umesh K.R. Bansal under Zee Studios and Shakti Sagar Productions, Fateh is set for a theatrical release on January 10.
