Hallmark Media has confirmed the renewal of Finding Mr. Christmas, the popular reality competition series created by Jonathan Bennett and Ben Roy. The show, which debuted on Hallmark+, will return for its second season in 2025.
Bennett, who hosts the series, will be joined once again by Melissa Peterman, who serves as the lead judge.
“This show has been such a dream to bring to life,” Bennett said in a statement. “Season two will be full of even more stories, laughter, and fun. We’re just getting started.”
Ben Roy shared his excitement for the second season, stating, “For season one, my goal was to create a show that stood out — something competitive but also heartwarming and uplifting. I’m incredibly proud of our cast and crew for what we accomplished. The fans’ response has been amazing, and we can’t wait to make season two even more entertaining, heartfelt, and, of course, even more handsome.”
The show features 10 aspiring actors who compete in holiday-themed challenges designed to mold them into the perfect Hallmark leading man. The challenges range from wrapping gifts and dancing to acting and performing on-screen kisses. Each week, one contestant is eliminated, and the winner earns a starring role in a Hallmark Countdown to Christmas movie.
Ezra Moreland, the winner of season one, made his debut in Happy Howlidays, which aired on Hallmark Channel on December 21 and is available to stream on Hallmark+.
David Stefanou, head of Hallmark’s unscripted programming, praised the show’s success, saying, “In a crowded TV market, it’s hard to create something that truly stands out. Finding Mr. Christmas has managed to do just that, combining heart and entertainment in a unique way. We’re thrilled to bring it back for another season.”
Lisa Hamilton Daly, Hallmark’s EVP of programming, echoed the sentiment, adding, “We’re so pleased with the success of the first season and proud to have created a reality series with such heart at its core.”
Finding Mr. Christmas is produced by Hallmark Media and Super Delicious, with Jonathan Bennett, Ben Roy, Cara Tapper, Adam Cohen, Joanna Vernetti, and Trish Gold serving as executive producers.
