The final episodes of Cobra Kai will arrive on Netflix on February 13, bringing an end to the series’ long-running story. A newly released trailer for Season 6, Part 3 hints at an epic conclusion, stating: “Four decades of history all leading to this moment.” The teaser reveals that as the series reaches its climax, the characters must confront their pasts while facing an uncertain future both in the dojo and beyond.
The series finale continues the story set in motion by the original Karate Kid film from 1984, in which Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) defeated Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) at the All Valley Karate Tournament. Cobra Kai takes a fresh perspective, focusing on Johnny as he struggles to rebuild his life while still harboring tensions with Daniel. The two are now rival dojo owners, their complex relationship adding layers to the drama.
The show also features a diverse cast, including Martin Kove, Thomas Ian Griffith, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, and Tanner Buchanan. Additional cast members include Peyton List, Gianni Decenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro, Oona O’Brien, Rayna Vallandingham, Patrick Luwis, and Lewis Tan.
The first half of Cobra Kai Season 6 premiered in July 2024, with the remaining episodes set for release in February. Alongside the Cobra Kai finale, a new Karate Kid movie, titled Karate Kid: Legends, starring Macchio and Jackie Chan, is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 30, 2024.
The series is created and executive produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg through their Counterbalance Entertainment company. Will Smith, James Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett serve as executive producers for Westbrook Studios, with Susan Ekins also contributing. Macchio and Zabka take on executive producer roles as well.
