According to a report by The Economic Times, a significant number of workplaces in both Chennai, the superstar’s hometown, and Bengaluru, have declared August 10th as a day off for employees, in view of the film’s premiere.
As detailed in the report, the early screenings of the film have generated substantial excitement, contributing to the overall buzz surrounding ‘Jailer.’ The fervor for the iconic Rajinikanth has even reached the global stage of Times Square in New York City. The much-anticipated ‘Jailer’ is expected to dominate over 90% of screens on its opening day in its home state, potentially achieving a historic opening for Rajinikanth.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, ‘Jailer’ is described as an action-packed film in which Rajinikanth will reportedly display his mature acting skills in the role of a retired police officer. The director is said to have adeptly woven a variety of emotions throughout the movie, and the team is elated with the outcomes following a recent private screening.
An earlier teaser introduced Rajinikanth’s character as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, portrayed in two distinct personas. The superstar takes on the role of a police officer’s father within the film’s narrative.
