Lady Gaga will be honored as Innovator of the Year at the 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards, scheduled for March 17 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. In addition, Mariah Carey will be recognized as Icon of the Year for her outstanding contributions as a singer, songwriter, and producer throughout her career.
Leading the nominations with 10 each are Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen, who will compete for Artist of the Year and Best Collaboration. Swift’s collaboration with Post Malone, Fortnight, will face off against Wallen’s I Had Some Help, which features Post Malone. Swift will also receive special recognition for her Eras Tour, which will be named “Tour of the Century.”
This year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards will also honor Los Angeles, recognizing the resilience of the community affected by recent devastating wildfires. Donations to Fireaidla.org will support both immediate relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future disasters. “Our iHeartRadio Music Awards show is not a competition, but a celebration of the incredible artists and songs that resonated with fans,” said John Sykes, president of entertainment enterprises at iHeartMedia, and Tom Poleman, chief programming officer. “This year, we are committed to shining a light on Los Angeles’ tragic losses and helping raise awareness for recovery efforts.”
Other notable nominees include aespa, Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Doja Cat, and Feid, among others. The awards show will air live on FOX at 8 p.m. ET and be broadcast across iHeartRadio stations nationwide.
