Sara Bareilles, Jackson Browne, and Kristin Chenoweth will join Wyclef Jean as honorees and performers at the upcoming Music Will Benefit Concert in New York. The event, set for April 9 at Gotham Hall, will raise funds for Music Will, the largest nonprofit music education program in the U.S. supporting schools.
Michael Bearden, the music director for this year’s Oscars, will also take on the role of music director for the benefit concert.
Tickets for the event are available at www.musicwill/benefit, and visitors can place bids for silent auction items—including unique donations from music stars—through the Music Will website.
Kristin Chenoweth shared her enthusiasm for the event, saying, “Music education transforms lives. It gives kids a voice, builds confidence, and opens doors to endless possibilities. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful music can be, and I believe every child deserves to experience that. I’m thrilled to support Music Will’s mission to bring music into more classrooms and more young lives.”
Mike Wasserman, CEO of Music Will, expressed his excitement about the honorees: “We’re honored to celebrate the achievements of Sara Bareilles, Jackson Browne, Kristin Chenoweth, and Wyclef Jean. Their artistry and commitment align with our mission to bring life-changing music education to students of all backgrounds. Together, we’re creating a future where music continues to inspire creativity, build communities, and unlock potential.”
The annual event, which has previously honored and featured performances by icons like Josh Groban, Andra Day, and Rhiannon Giddens, has seen past performances from artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, and Yo-Yo Ma.
The benefit concert will be co-chaired by Jonathan Shank, CEO of Terrapin Station Entertainment, and Gregory Hall, managing director of U.S. global wealth management at Pimco.
