After a tumultuous 17th season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Heather Dubrow is opening up about the intense drama that unfolded. The reality star candidly shares that she felt caught off guard by the unexpected shift in dynamics as her fellow cast members turned against her.
Heather Dubrow found herself embroiled in various dramatic events during the latest season of RHOC.
In a recent episode, Gina Kirschenheiter questioned her friendship with Heather after a series of incidents during the cast’s trip to Montana.
During a conversation about infidelity, Gina hesitated to call her husband, and Heather advised against it. Gina felt unsupported by Heather during this interaction.
“I didn’t want to call you, because Heather made me feel like I shouldn’t call you,” Gina confided in her boyfriend Travis Mullen upon their return from Montana.
Gina expressed that Heather appeared indifferent, failing to check in or call her.
Despite this, Gina’s boyfriend acknowledged Heather as a typically caring person, and Gina concurred. However, she began to question their friendship following an unusual turn of events.
Now, Heather is sharing her genuine sentiments during the season. The 54-year-old admitted to Jezebel that she felt “blindsided.”
“This season ended in a place that I’ve never ended a show before,” she confessed.
When asked if her feelings were positive or negative, Heather clarified, “It wasn’t great.”
Heather revealed that she encountered issues with nearly everyone during the season, and she described herself as being on an “apology tour” for a while.
She added, “I also feel like I was sort of blindsided by it.”
“For the first half of the season, I was just kind of going along doing my thing… and then all of a sudden things turned that I didn’t see coming at all,” she explained.
Addressing whether any “housewives firsts” were experienced given her veteran status, Heather mentioned that having a housewife from a different franchise join was a new experience.
“She definitely engaged,” Heather commented about Taylor Armstrong joining from RHOBH.
Heather chose not to elaborate further on Taylor and left the topic at that.
The interviewer brought up a rumored feud between Heather and Tamra Judge and inquired about the current state of their relationship.
Heather acknowledged, “I would say that, you know, we didn’t end well.” However, she mentioned that they’ve exchanged texts and had conversations. Heather acknowledged that there’s much to resolve.
When asked if their friendship was “beyond repair,” Heather responded that the only circumstance that could render a friendship hopeless would be if someone hurt one of her children.
