Korean music label At Area has signed Evan, the artist formerly known as Pluma, as the newest addition to its growing roster.
Evan’s debut single under his new moniker, “Star Below (Feat. Ph-1),” will be released on March 27. The song marks the start of what At Area describes as a musical reinvention for the artist.
“This new chapter is more than just a rebrand – it’s a reinvention,” said Evan. “With At Area, I have the freedom to explore new creative depths and showcase my artistry from a fresh perspective. I’m excited to share my new music with the world.”
Known for his melodic rap style and emotionally driven lyrics as Pluma, Evan’s new sound combines alternative pop, electro-pop, and rock influences. His music draws inspiration from pop icons of the 2000s and 2010s while incorporating contemporary production techniques.
At Area, founded by producer duo GroovyRoom (Hwimin and Iön), has become a significant player in the Korean music industry, known for blending commercial and underground styles while nurturing both emerging and established artists. The label’s roster includes K-pop veteran HyunA, Dawn, former GFriend member Yuju, and other notable acts like Gemini, Mirani, and Blasé.
GroovyRoom has earned multiple Producer of the Year honors at the Korean Hip-Hop Awards and made history as the first Korean group to perform at EDC Vegas. With the addition of Evan, At Area continues its mission to redefine musical landscapes and support innovative talent
