Jin, a member of the globally acclaimed group BTS, is set to release his second solo album, Echo, on May 16. This follow-up comes just six months after his debut solo album, Happy, marking a key moment in his musical journey as he continues to evolve into 2025.
According to a press statement, Echo aims to connect with fans on a deeper level by exploring universal life experiences. The album captures everyday emotions with sincerity and warmth. Featuring dynamic band sounds, it highlights Jin’s vocal versatility across various moods and styles, reflecting both his vocal maturity and personal storytelling.
Beyond his music career, Jin has been expanding his entertainment presence. He made a notable appearance in the Netflix variety show Kian’s Bizarre B&B, where he co-manages a quirky bed-and-breakfast on South Korea’s Ulleungdo island with webtoon artist Kian84 and SNL Korea star Ji Ye-eun.
Fans can stream Echo on all major platforms starting May 16, with more details about the album to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Jin, born Kim Seok-jin, gained international fame as a member of BTS, the Grammy-nominated K-pop group that reshaped the global music scene since their debut in 2013. His solo projects, including Awake, Epiphany, and Moon, have showcased his emotional range and distinctive voice. In 2022, he collaborated with Coldplay on the track The Astronaut.
The announcement of Echo comes during a busy period for Jin, who represented South Korea as a torchbearer in the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay last year before releasing Happy.
