Addison Rae has revealed that her highly anticipated debut album, Addison, will be released on June 6 via Columbia Records.
The singer has been building up to the release over the past year, dropping a series of singles including “Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” and “High Fashion.” Last week, she released another track, “Headphones On,” a dreamy ’90s-style pop song co-written and produced by Luka Kloser and Elvira Anderfjärd.
Rae shared with Rolling Stone earlier this year that she co-wrote all the songs on the album with Kloser and Anderfjärd. Kloser mentioned that he was surprised by Rae’s diverse musical tastes, noting that her style often leaned towards left-field and underground sounds.
In 2021, Rae made her music debut with the single “Obsessed,” followed by her first EP, AR, in August 2023. That EP featured collaborations with Charli XCX and Alexander 23, and was well-received by fans and critics alike.
Ahead of the album release, Rae made appearances during both weekends of Coachella. At the first, she teased the album’s release date by flashing her underwear with “June 6” written on it. She also joined Charli XCX for a performance of the “Von Dutch” remix, released last year.
Addison marks a new chapter for Rae, following her recent signing with Sony Music Publishing and Columbia Records in 2024. Her single “Diet Pepsi” debuted at No. 86 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October.
