The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has unveiled its Class of 2025 inductees, celebrating a diverse array of artists who have significantly influenced the music landscape. Among the honorees are pop icon Cyndi Lauper, hip-hop duo OutKast, garage rock innovators The White Stripes, grunge pioneers Soundgarden, classic rockers Bad Company, dance legend Chubby Checker, and soulful singer Joe Cocker. The announcement was made during a special Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-themed episode of American Idol, hosted by Ryan Seacrest .
In addition to the performer inductees, several artists and industry professionals will receive special honors. Salt-N-Pepa and the late Warren Zevon will be recognized with the Musical Influence Award for their profound impact on the evolution of rock and cultural music. The Musical Excellence Award will be presented to producer Thom Bell, bassist Carol Kaye, and pianist Nicky Hopkins for their exceptional contributions to iconic songs and influential collaborations. Lenny Waronker, co-founder of DreamWorks Records, will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award, acknowledging his significant influence as a non-performing industry professional .
The induction ceremony is scheduled for November 8, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will be streamed live on Disney+, with additional airings on ABC and Hulu .
