BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has unveiled three of his earlier solo compositions on prominent streaming services, marking their premiere availability on such platforms.
On August 28, Big Hit Music announced that V’s solo tracks – ‘Scenery,’ ‘Winter Bear,’ and ‘Snow Flower’ – have been made accessible on streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. Until now, these songs were exclusively accessible on SoundCloud and YouTube.
V initiated his solo journey with ‘Scenery’ in January 2019, a self-composed track that signified a significant step in his artistic expression. Subsequently, ‘Winter Bear’ followed later in the same year. Additionally, in December 2020, V collaborated with rapper and close friend Peakboy to unveil ‘Snow Flower.’
These tracks are now accessible on various prominent South Korean streaming platforms, including Melon, Genie, VIBE, FLO, and Bugs.
The release of these songs on widely recognized streaming platforms comes just a week ahead of V’s highly anticipated solo debut album, ‘Layover,’ which is scheduled for release on September 8.
In anticipation of the album’s launch, V has already unveiled two tracks from the project, namely ‘Rainy Days’ and ‘Love Me Again.’ The album will also feature other compositions such as ‘Blue,’ ‘Slow Dancing,’ ‘For Us,’ and a ‘Slow Dancing (Piano Version).’
Earlier this month, Big Hit Music disclosed that V had enlisted the expertise of NewJeans’ creative director, Min Hee-jin, to spearhead his solo venture. This involvement encompasses not only the musical aspect but also the choreography. V mentioned in an interview that his decision to collaborate with Min was influenced by her contributions to girl group f(x)’s acclaimed 2013 album ‘Pink Tape.’
