As anticipation builds for Bigg Boss 17, reports suggest that the show’s start will be delayed due to the ICC World Cup 2023, which kicks off in the first week of October. With India’s crucial league matches during the World Cup, the makers have opted to postpone the show’s launch until after October 20, a decision influenced by the massive viewership cricket commands. This season, a “couples vs. singles” theme is set to take center stage, with names like Neil Bhatt-Aishwarya Sharma, Kanwar Dhillon-Alice Kaushik, and Ankita Lokhande-Vicky Jain being tossed around. The season will also feature couple mentors, with Karan Kundrra-Tejasswi Prakash and Eijaz Khan-Pavitra Punia reportedly in talks to join.
The practice of transitioning talent across shows is not uncommon within the television industry. According to reports from Gossips TV, channels have approached Nyra Banerjee, Soundous Moufakir, Kanika Mann, and Gia Manek for potential roles in Bigg Boss 17. Among them, Nyra Banerjee and Soundous Moufakir, who were both part of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, seem well-suited to the show’s dynamic. While the prospects of Banerjee and Moufakir joining Bigg Boss 17 seem plausible, the audience will be keen to see if they accept the offers.
Following the success of Bigg Boss 13, the show seems to be veering towards a focus on couples and love stories. Rumors have even circulated about Arjit Taneja’s involvement. Fans have shown interest in the pairing of Soundous Moufakir and Arjit Taneja since their participation in KKK 13. This has sparked speculation that the makers might reunite them on-screen. However, Taneja has expressed his preference for fictional shows over reality TV, indicating that he might not be inclined towards joining Bigg Boss 17.
As fans await further updates, it’s worth noting that Salman Khan, who is synonymous with hosting Bigg Boss, will soon be engrossed in his film commitments. Beginning in November 2023, he will be working on a movie directed by Vishnuvardhan. The film, set to span seven to eight months, will see Khan portraying a paramilitary officer—a role that has already garnered attention due to his distinctive bald look.
