New York Fashion Week witnessed style maven Julia Fox making a striking appearance on Tuesday night, showcasing her penchant for pushing fashion boundaries.
Fox graced the Naomi Campbell x Pretty Little Thing show, where the supermodel unveiled her first collaboration with the UK-based fashion retailer. In the front row sat notable figures like Emily Ratajkowski and Tommy Dorfman, joining Fox in previewing Campbell’s collection.
Julia Fox’s outfit choice, however, stirred significant online buzz and curiosity about her other NYFW ensembles. The 33-year-old actress and model donned a daring silver chain bra adorned with oval nipple pasties, paired with a matching metal thong.
To offset the risqué attire, Fox added a black leather trench coat from Campbell’s PLL collection and complemented the look with above-the-ankle leather boots. Her hair was styled straight with copper-toned ends, and she accentuated her appearance with a striking black lip and smoky metallic eye makeup.
At the Pandora Celebrates Lab-Grown Diamonds event on Wednesday, the “Uncut Gems” star opted for a sexy halter top and minidress constructed from wristwatches.
For her final NYFW event, Fox attended a Victoria’s Secret soirée, wearing a silvery sheer dress over an all-white lingerie set. Completing the ensemble, she sported angel wings crafted from black ribbon.
Despite her fearless fashion choices, Julia Fox did not escape criticism, as Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) commenters shared their opinions on her outfits.
“Can someone just buy her some clothes?!? She always neked!!” remarked one individual on a Page Six post.
“If she doesn’t dress outrageous, she brings nothing to the table,” commented another.
“A clearly beautiful woman who thinks delulu is the solulu,” added another observer.
Nevertheless, Fox’s admirers, enamored with her overall “vibe,” came to her defense on a Victoria’s Secret post highlighting her involvement in this year’s VS Tour.
“I think she is awesome,” wrote one supporter, with another expressing, “I got your vibe. I love this.”
“Giving dark feminine angel vibes,” noted a fan.
In an open conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Julia Fox addressed the backlash with humor, questioning why her body became a subject of scrutiny.
“I got in trouble for that one,” she acknowledged. “There were a lot of haters, being like, ‘This is unacceptable. This is setting such a bad example.’ But, it’s like, ‘Why?’ It’s just my body.
“Is my body, like, ugly? Is my body a crime?” she pondered. “Did my body slap your grandma? The way that they were acting, it was like, ‘What the heck?!'”
Reflecting on her everyday style, Fox shared, “If people could see what I dress like in my day-to-day, it’s literally like boxers, stained, dirty T-shirts, Adidas slides. It’s not this. That’s kind of why when I do get dressed up, I want to go all out because my real life is so unglamorous.”
