Jeremy Allen White is in discussions for a significant role in an upcoming film project. The actor, known for his recent appearance in the movie The Iron Claw alongside Zac Efron, is reportedly being pursued to portray Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming production titled Deliver Me From Nowhere, as reported by Deadline.
The movie will delve into the creation process of Springsteen’s acclaimed 1982 album Nebraska, widely regarded as one of his finest works. This period marked Springsteen’s ascent to superstardom, as he tirelessly worked on what would later become his iconic album Born in the USA.
During this time, Springsteen grappled with the pressures of fame and battled with depression. Seeking solace, he retreated to record introspective and deeply personal songs, resulting in the raw and heartfelt album Nebraska.
Jeremy Allen White, a sought-after choice for the role, is currently busy filming the fourth season of The Bear until June. While negotiations have not commenced, there is anticipation that White may take on the role, potentially filming in New Jersey in the fall.
The project has garnered support from producer Scott Stuber, former chairman of Netflix Films, and studio A24. Additionally, Springsteen and his manager Jon Landau are actively involved in the production.
Reflecting on his recent work in The Iron Claw, White remains unfazed by its lack of recognition at award ceremonies, emphasizing that success is unpredictable and subjective. He expressed pride in the film’s reception and is optimistic about future projects.
The Bear season 3 is slated for release on Disney+ later this year, with the first two seasons currently available for streaming.
