Louis Walsh, the former X Factor judge, has addressed the ongoing rumors surrounding his payment for his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother. Walsh recently concluded his stint on the reality series, finishing in fourth place, with the crown ultimately going to Ibiza Weekender star David Potts.
Speculations regarding Walsh’s fee have been circulating since he entered the house, with The Sun previously reporting a figure of £500,000. However, Walsh has now confirmed that his compensation was significantly higher than initially rumored.
In addition to discussing his payment, Walsh also disclosed receiving medical treatment during his time in the house due to experiencing insomnia and two panic attacks. He mentioned to The Sun that although he was provided with prescription sleeping pills, he was only given one pill instead of the recommended two, leading to sleep disturbances and anxiety during the nights.
Walsh praised the medical staff available during the show, describing them as “brilliant” and highlighting their support in calming him down during moments of panic. Their prompt assistance and calming presence were crucial in helping him navigate his challenges while participating in Celebrity Big Brother.
