LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Shania Twain is a true music icon, known for her classic music videos, record-breaking album sales, sold-out tours, and numerous awards.
A special new episode of “On The Red Carpet” celebrates Shania’s amazing career. It features an intimate interview with the five-time Grammy winner at the Bakkt Theater in Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas. Here, she performs her classic hits like “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!,” “From This Moment On,” and “That Don’t Impress Me Much” in her residency titled “Come on Over.”
Shania sat down with George Pennacchio to discuss her music and remarkable life story, which includes a challenging childhood in extreme poverty in Canada.
“When I was a child, I always dreamt that during the days or weeks we had no food or no heat in the middle of winter, somebody would come and save us,” she said.
Shania also talked about her iconic fashion, her favorite music video, and her thoughts on current top-selling artists like Taylor Swift and Harry Styles.
She shared a wild story from her early days in Nashville about an incident where someone pulled a gun in a parking lot outside a honky-tonk bar where she was performing.
“It was a new experience for me,” Twain said. “In the bars where I grew up singing, they fought all right. But they fist-fought.”
