Nick Cannon’s new talk show, “Counsel Culture,” inspired by the popular podcast of the same name, is set to debut on Prime Video and Amazon Freevee in June.

In a press release, Prime Video provided more details about the upcoming series. “Counsel Culture,” originally a podcast, has been transformed into a talk show hosted by the versatile entertainer Nick Cannon. The show is scheduled to premiere on June 6 on Prime Video and Amazon Freevee. It will delve into various topics surrounding male mental health, including grief, loyalty, financial security, marriage, trust, and emotional vulnerability. Each episode, lasting half an hour, will feature Cannon alongside different guest co-hosts discussing timely societal issues and their impact on well-being. The entire series will be available for viewing on premiere day on Prime Video in the U.S., UK, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as on Freevee in the U.S. and UK.
“Counsel Culture” on television expands upon Cannon’s podcast, aiming to foster open dialogues on traditionally sensitive subjects. The episodes, moderated by Cannon, draw on the expertise of doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, and the personal experiences of guest panelists.
Guest panelists set to appear on the show include Howie Mandel, Lamar Odom, NE-YO, DeSean Jackson, Ray-J, August Alsina, Stephan Speaks, Yolo Akili Robinson, John Edward, David Kessler, Tim Chantarangsu, Terri Cole, Godfrey, John Kim, Dr. Sheila Nazarian, T.J. Slaughter, Tyron Woodley, Matt Barnes, and John Kim.
Cannon, who serves as host and executive producer, expressed his vision for “Counsel Culture,” stating, “I created Counsel Culture to help destigmatize male mental health. It’s a safe space and a brave place to allow men to discuss their emotions and allow themselves to learn, grow and heal. Instead of canceling each other, we are counseling each other. We have a rotating panel where we will discuss necessary topics, and nothing is off limits.”
In addition to “Counsel Culture,” Cannon will also host “Wish List Games,” a holiday event produced by MGM Alternative, where contestants compete to win items from their Amazon Wish Lists.
“Counsel Culture” is produced by NCredible and Amazon MGM Studios, with executive producers Nick Cannon, Benjamin Sumpter, and Michael Goldman, and directed by Edgar Martin.
