Charlamagne Tha God recently spoke about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged role in Wendy Williams’ exit from Hot 97 in the 90s, linking it to speculation about Diddy’s sexuality.
During a conversation on The Art Of Dialogue, Charlamagne delved into Diddy’s past and Wendy Williams’ remarks about his sexual orientation, implying they contributed to her departure from Hot 97 in 1998.
According to Charlamagne, “Wendy Williams was vocal about Diddy’s sexuality back in the 90s, and that’s what led to her leaving Hot 97. Diddy was at the peak of his success with Bad Boy at that time, and Wendy’s comments didn’t sit well with him.”
The discussion also touched on recent controversies surrounding Diddy, including footage from 2016 showing him in a physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Charlamagne suggested there might be more to Diddy’s persona than meets the eye, stating, “There could be deeper layers to this situation. It’s not just about music anymore.”
Recent legal issues have further added to Diddy’s challenges. Model Crystal McKinney has filed a lawsuit alleging that Diddy drugged and assaulted her during Men’s Fashion Week over 20 years ago.
McKinney, a model since age 17, claims she met Diddy in 2003 during the event and was subjected to unwanted advances. She alleges that after dining together, she was coerced into performing sexual acts after unknowingly consuming a drugged substance.
The aftermath, McKinney claims, resulted in professional setbacks and a suicide attempt the following year. The lawsuit also names Bad Boy Records, Sean John Clothing, and Universal Music as defendants.
