Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez Share Affection at Son’s Basketball Game.
Recently, Ben Affleck, 51, and Jennifer Lopez, 54, displayed affection during a family outing despite reported strains in their relationship. The couple reunited on Sunday, June 2, to attend Affleck’s 12-year-old son Samuel’s basketball game in Santa Monica, Calif.
At the event, they were seen sharing a kiss on the cheek as they greeted each other before heading inside the YMCA alongside Affleck’s mother, Chris Anne Boldt. Lopez opted for a black long-sleeved top and blue jeans, while Affleck wore blue jeans paired with a maroon T-shirt under a red corduroy and shearling jacket. Notably, Affleck’s wedding ring was visible during the outing as he carried a basketball.
Also present at the game was Affleck’s ex-wife and Samuel’s mom, Jennifer Garner.
This public display of affection comes amid news that Lopez canceled her upcoming summer tour, “This Is Me… Live.” On Friday, May 31, Lopez announced the tour’s cancellation, citing a need to “take time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” according to a statement from Live Nation. She expressed her regret to fans, promising to make it up to them in the future.
The tour, originally scheduled to run from June to August, was called off just after Lopez and Affleck were seen together at his daughter Violet’s graduation ceremony. The couple appeared united, holding hands at the event, where Affleck’s other children, Samuel and Seraphina, 15, as well as Lopez’s twins Max and Emme, 16, were also present.
Sources close to the couple have indicated that their relationship is currently facing challenges, with reports of them living separately. Despite these difficulties, their recent public appearances suggest a continued effort to maintain family connections and support each other’s milestones.
