Chloë Sevigny has joined the cast of Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming thriller ‘After the Hunt,’ marking her third collaboration with the director after ‘Bones & All’ and the HBO series ‘We Are Who We Are.’
Sevigny is part of a star-studded ensemble that includes Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, and Michael Stuhlbarg, a frequent collaborator with Guadagnino. Production for the film is scheduled to commence this summer.
Directed by Guadagnino from a screenplay by Nora Garrett, the movie centers on a college professor facing personal and professional challenges when a prominent student accuses one of her colleagues.
Simultaneously, a dark secret from her past threatens to surface.
The project is backed by Amazon MGM, collaborating with Guadagnino following their successful venture with the film ‘Challengers,’ starring Zendaya, which has earned $90 million worldwide. Imagine Entertainment is producing, led by Brian Grazer and Allan Mandelbaum, along with Guadagnino through his Frenesy banner. Karen Lunder from Imagine will serve as executive producer alongside Garrett.
Sevigny’s recent work includes FX’s series ‘Feud: Capote vs. The Swans,’ and she has upcoming projects like the adaptation of Françoise Sagan’s ‘Bonjour Tristesse’ directed by Durga Chew-Bose, and Amalia Ulman’s ‘Magic Farm.’ She has also wrapped filming for ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,’ portraying Kitty Menendez opposite Javier Bardem as Jose Menendez.
