Tamar Braxton has extended a heartfelt apology to her fiancé, Jeremy Robinson, following a recent interview with Carlos King that stirred controversy.
Reports indicate that Robinson expressed dissatisfaction with Braxton’s May 21st interview, perceiving King’s reference to him as Colonel Sanders, the KFC founder, as shady. In response, Braxton took to her now-deleted Instagram story to convey her apology on social media.
“Hurting someone you love is far more painful than being hurt by them. I’m still learning about true love and self-love,” she expressed. “I sincerely wish for the chance to apologize and seek forgiveness for everything… Regardless of my convictions, your feelings matter. I must honor that. I’m not ashamed of expressing my emotions; I’m ashamed of causing you distress. I’m sorry.”
The singer’s apology followed shortly after Robinson shared his discomfort with the interview. “I can only endure being thrown under the bus without a defense for so long. I’ll play the role of Colonel Sanders and serve you some chicken with my story. Stop provoking the situation!” Robinson’s post read.
He further elaborated, “A person can only handle so much. I always aim to protect, even in absence, but I can’t tolerate indirect criticism anymore. Your indirect remarks only add to the uncertainty, and your associates thrive on insinuations you never clarify.”
In a subsequent post, he emphasized, “Apologies lose their meaning when they attack the core of my being. You’re aware of the truth but choose to gossip – well, perhaps it’s time for the truth to surface. I’m tired of shielding others while facing criticism. Their reckless actions coincided with my affectionate phase. Gestures and public displays hold little value when your heart has been wounded.”
