Witherspoon, 48, confessed that she’s been called the wrong name her entire life, and her stage name is only partly accurate.

“Why do you call her Dern though?” Kidman asked.
“Because my name is Laura, and her name is Laura, and it confuses me,” Witherspoon explained, revealing her real name as Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon.

The conversation also touched on the upcoming third season of Big Little Lies, with Kidman confirming its progress and excitement among the cast.
“We’re moving fast and furious, and Liane [Moriarty] is delivering the book,” Kidman stated, indicating that the new season is in good shape.
