Adam Lambert has been confirmed as the headliner for Pride In London 2023 and has released the official single for the event, ‘You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)’, alongside Sigala.
The 41-year-old singer, known for his work with Queen, and the DJ-producer have reinterpreted Sylvester’s 1978 disco-pop hit, focusing on themes of freedom.
Additionally, Adam Lambert is set to perform the empowering anthem at Pride In London on July 1, as announced by Christopher Joell-Deshields, CEO of Pride in London.
“We’re thrilled that Adam Lambert, a talented pop vocalist and Queen collaborator, has chosen to debut his latest single, ‘You Make Me Feel Mighty Real’, as the official song for this year’s Pride in London,” said Joell-Deshields. “Adam’s music encourages authenticity, aligning perfectly with our campaign ‘Never March Alone’, which champions allyship for the trans community. We look forward to Adam and other talented LGBTQ+ artists joining us on July 1st across our stages.”
Regarding his ongoing collaboration with Queen, Adam Lambert expressed optimism about their future together. Reflecting on their journey since his first performance with them in 2009 on ‘American Idol’, he noted, “When I first performed with them, I thought it was probably going to be a one-off, but one thing led to another and it just snowballed into this beautiful relationship that we’ve continued over the past 10 or so years.”
Looking ahead, Adam hinted at more collaborations and tours with Queen, stating, “I don’t think that’s the end. I think there’s probably more where that came from.” Their upcoming ‘Rhapsody Tour’ in North America is set to commence in October.
