Schneider, who considers Rock a close friend, mentioned that he refrained from commenting earlier due to his position as an elected SAG-AFTRA official. However, he now feels compelled to speak out, describing Smith’s behavior as unacceptable and revealing his true character.
During the interview on “The Kyle and Jackie O Show,” Schneider expressed disappointment in Smith’s actions, especially given Rock’s status as a respected comedian. He criticized Smith for resorting to violence in a public setting and questioned the Academy’s decision not to take stronger action against him.
Schneider also addressed the speculation that Smith was defending his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, noting that such actions cannot be justified regardless of the circumstances.
