Lopez and Affleck, wearing their wedding rings amid marital tensions, were seen at Samuel Affleck’s graduation ceremony earlier in the day.
Jennifer Lopez recently joined Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner to celebrate a family milestone. On Wednesday, June 12, Lopez and Garner were seen entering Affleck’s rental home in Brentwood, California, to attend a graduation party for Samuel, Garner and Affleck’s 12-year-old son.
Earlier that day, Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, attended Samuel’s graduation ceremony. Both were wearing their wedding rings despite marital tensions.
Affleck shares three children with his former wife Garner: Samuel, Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15. Lopez has 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
This isn’t the first time the two have attended a family event amid issues in their relationship. Earlier this month, Lopez supported Samuel by attending his basketball game, where she and Affleck shared a kiss on the cheek.
“It’s a good sign they were at the game together,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. Three days earlier, the Marry Me star also attended Violet’s high-school graduation ceremony, where she and Affleck held hands.
A source told PEOPLE on Tuesday, June 11, that Lopez and the Academy Award winner remain “friendly” despite their marital issues. “They’re still friendly and see each other every few days,” the insider said.
As Affleck and Lopez navigate marriage troubles just under two years since their wedding, a source told PEOPLE on May 28 that Garner, 52, “wants the best for” her ex-husband. “She wants him happy and healthy so he can be the best dad possible,” said the insider.
The source added that Garner, who is dating John Miller, chairman and CEO of Cali Group, “likes that [Lopez] lives a healthy lifestyle and supports Ben’s sobriety. Jen wants that for Ben.”
Affleck and Garner married in 2009. They announced their breakup in 2015 and officially filed for divorce in April 2017; the divorce was finalized the following year. Lopez and Affleck rekindled their early-2000s romance in 2021 and married in July 2022.
Recently, Lopez has been promoting her movie Atlas in L.A. and Mexico solo while Affleck has continued filming his upcoming project, The Accountant 2, in L.A. They have been living apart in Los Angeles.
