The actor has gone super light for the sunny season, leaving her iconic red shade behind. It’s great to see Blonde Julia once again—it’s been a while!
Colorist Kadi Lee from Highbrow Hippie salon was responsible for the transformation and explained the careful process of changing the star’s hair from auburn to buttery golden blonde. “When making drastic color changes, my approach is always the same: slow and methodical, while always keeping the health and integrity of the hair first and foremost,” Lee wrote on Instagram. Lee didn’t share any in-process photos, but it’s clear this was a gradual change to avoid damaging Roberts’s hair. Lee also mentioned that Facebook reminded her of a similar transformation she did for the Oscar winner seven years ago, showing that the desire to lighten up for summer never fades.
Before the change, Roberts’s hair was a classic red, similar to her early days in Hollywood. The last time she was blonde was in 2021, when she added honey highlights to her bronde base. Now, her hair is a bright golden hue with depth at the roots for a natural look. Stylist Serge Normant trimmed some length and styled her hair in loose waves, which she wore to a fundraiser with her friend Clooney. Her bangs have grown out and blend into the waves, beautifully framing her face.
