Kourtney Kardashian recently shared details about a frightening medical experience she underwent while expecting her fourth child, baby Rocky, whom she welcomed with husband Travis Barker.
During a recent episode of the Hulu series The Kardashians, Kourtney revealed the ordeal, stating, “A couple of months ago, we faced a terrifying situation where I had to undergo emergency fetal surgery.”
The surgery was necessary due to fluid in Rocky’s lung, a rare condition that was fortunately detected early. Kourtney expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s both rare and fortunate that we caught it in time. Thank God for the successful surgery. I’m incredibly thankful; words cannot express.”
Reflecting on the emotional impact, Kourtney shared, “I was filled with fear after the surgery and concerned about the fluid in his lungs. However, after watching a documentary called Heal, which emphasizes the power of positive thinking on our health, I changed my mindset.”
She added, “I began talking to the baby daily, offering prayers, and after this shift in mindset, the fluid disappeared completely, and we encountered no further issues.”
Kourtney also mentioned the physical reminder of the surgery, saying, “I have a scar from the procedure where they accessed my amniotic sac, so I feel like a fragile little egg.”
