Jessica Simpson and Kim Kardashian share a bond through their daughters. Back in 2022, Simpson, 43, revealed that her eldest daughter Maxwell, 12, and Kim’s daughter North, 11, were best friends. Despite this connection, it appears that their friendship hasn’t deepened as expected.
According to an insider speaking to Life & Style, Jessica, who lives in the same neighborhood as Kim, initially hoped for a stronger friendship but feels that she hasn’t been fully embraced into Kim’s inner circle.
The source mentioned that Kim’s close friends include Ivanka Trump, Lauren Sánchez, and Kimora Lee Simmons, who were prominently featured during Kim’s 43rd birthday celebration.
The insider suggests that Kim might be focusing more on socializing with a different social group, one where Jessica doesn’t quite fit in. Despite Jessica’s efforts to connect with Kim’s old friends and hiring similar staff, she hasn’t made significant progress in getting closer to Kim.
Two years ago, Jessica spoke enthusiastically about Maxwell and North’s friendship, highlighting their time together on the same basketball team coached by Jessica’s husband, Eric Johnson. However, despite their daughters’ bond, Jessica is reportedly disappointed that she hasn’t received Kim’s approval.
While Jessica may feel saddened by this, she should recognize her own achievements, including her successful fashion empire. Not every mom friendship needs to evolve into a close bond, especially when their daughters are best friends.
