Johnny Depp honored his late friend Jeff Beck by joining musicians Billy Gibbons, Graham Coxon, Jimmy Page, Chris Robinson, and Sandra Beck, Jeff’s wife, at the Gibson Garage in London on Monday, June 24.
The gathering marked Beck’s 80th birthday with a special musical tribute.
During the event, Johnny Depp, known for his roles in “Pirates of the Caribbean” and as a vocalist and guitarist, performed alongside Sandra. The performance also featured Beck’s live band drummers Toby Lee and Anika Nilles, along with other musicians.
The evening was hosted by singer-songwriter Imelda May. Jeff Beck, the renowned Yardbirds guitarist, passed away in January 2023 due to bacterial meningitis, a serious infection affecting the brain and spinal cord membranes.
Depp and Beck’s friendship began in 2016 and included the release of their joint studio album “18” in 2022, followed by a concert tour. Reflecting on their collaboration, Depp told People magazine, “It’s an incredible honor to create music with Jeff, a true legend and someone I’m privileged to call my brother.”
