Jennifer Lopez has spoken fondly about Ben Affleck’s steadfast support during challenging times. Their relationship has been under scrutiny recently, especially during the filming of Lopez’s documentary.
According to a source close to the couple, the making of “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” has been a pivotal project for their marriage. The insider revealed that the documentary shed light on underlying issues that contributed to their separation.
During the production of her album “This Is Me,” Affleck, 51, expressed surprise upon learning that Lopez, 54, had shared with songwriters the love letters he had written to her. “I’ve always believed that private things are sacred and special because they’re private,” Affleck shared candidly on camera. “So, this was an adjustment for me.”
Lopez herself acknowledged Affleck’s discomfort in the documentary, stating, “I don’t think he’s very comfortable with me doing all of this.”
“But he loves me,” she added, “he knows I’m an artist, and he’s going to support me in every way he can because he knows he can’t stop me.”
Despite Affleck’s support, their relationship dynamics shifted afterward. According to sources, both Lopez and Affleck reflected on their differences.
“While Jennifer enjoys being in the spotlight,” the source disclosed, “Ben prefers a more private life. Ultimately, they have different priorities.”
