Simon Cowell’s Wildlife Aid Foundation, based in Leatherhead, is encouraging supporters to honor the memory of its founder with wildflower seeds instead of traditional floral tributes. Cowell, known for his role as a TV presenter and conservationist, passed away on June 9 at the age of 72 following a battle with aggressive lung cancer.
The foundation, which also saw Cowell present Wildlife SOS, is in the process of establishing a new visitor center nearby. As part of their “Simon’s last wish” campaign, they are urging continued donations to sustain his legacy.
Expressing gratitude for the outpouring of love and support received since Cowell’s passing, the foundation stated, “We have been deeply touched and humbled by the messages.” They are inviting well-wishers to contribute wildflower seeds instead of flowers. These seeds will be planted at the new site in Simon’s memory, supporting local bees, insects, and birds that he cherished.
The foundation assured supporters that Simon Cowell’s vision and efforts will persevere under the leadership of his daughter, Lou Cowell.
