Brad Pitt continues to clash with ex-wife Angelina Jolie in their high-stakes legal dispute, with Pitt slamming Jolie for what he describes as ‘intrusive’ demands that he believes are irrelevant to their current case.
The ongoing saga stems from Pitt’s 2022 lawsuit against Jolie, accusing her of selling their shared stake in Chateau Miraval, a French winery, to Stoli, a company linked to a Russian oligarch, without his consent.
Pitt alleged that the couple had intended to pass the business down to their children. In response, Jolie denied any wrongdoing and defended her right to sell the shares independently.
Adding to the complexity, Stoli countersued Pitt for alleged misuse of company assets in a $350 million claim, which Pitt vehemently denies.
Recent court documents obtained by In Touch reveal Pitt’s frustration with Jolie’s legal team, citing 54 requests for documents that Pitt argues are unrelated to the primary corporate dispute. Among these requests are demands for Pitt’s private communications with friends and business associates concerning a 2016 incident on a private jet involving the couple. Jolie also sought communications between Pitt and the FBI regarding the incident, which was investigated but did not lead to criminal charges against Pitt.
The incident in question occurred shortly before Pitt and Jolie’s highly publicized divorce in 2016, amidst allegations of Pitt’s physical altercation with Jolie and their children. Pitt’s lawyer addressed these allegations, emphasizing Pitt’s accountability while rejecting accusations of misconduct.
In response to Jolie’s requests, Pitt’s legal team criticized the motion as unnecessary and accused Jolie of attempting to re-litigate aspects of their divorce through the current corporate dispute.
