Will Smith and Johnny Depp are spending their summer together in Europe. Both actors are participating in Andrea Bocelli’s concert in Italy, and they have been seen relaxing on a yacht with other performers involved in the event.
Photos shared by musician Ahmed Saad show Depp and Smith smiling for the camera aboard the boat. Depp is casually dressed in sunglasses, jeans, a t-shirt, and a button-up shirt. Smith is wearing shorts, a knit shirt, and a button-up shirt.
Another photo features the three men posing with a larger group. Saad captioned the picture, originally written in Egyptian, “Great feeling to gather with friends. Thanks, my friends, for the lovely visit.”
Smith and Depp have long careers in the entertainment industry, though the depth of their friendship is unclear. According to a statement from People, they appear to have met on the boat while heading to the same destination. “They are together en route to the Andrea Bocelli concert they’re both performing at,” the statement reads. Bocelli’s concert will feature a diverse lineup of performers.
Bocelli has been announcing the concert’s performers over the past month, sharing brief tributes for each. Regarding Smith, the statement read, “It makes us proud to be able to host this pyrotechnic artist, acclaimed actor, producer, and musician.”
For Depp, Bocelli’s team wrote, “A disarmingly charming actor who has brought countless iconic characters to life on the big screen, this eclectic artist’s musical talents are equally intense: a bona fide rockstar loved and applauded everywhere.”
The event will feature appearances by celebrities like Sofia Vergara, Shania Twain, Jon Batiste, Russell Crowe, and Christian Nodal. The concert will take place in Tuscany, at the Teatro del Silenzio, on July 15, 17, and 19.
