Wendy Williams is marking her 60th birthday, and her family is showing their support during her ongoing health and legal issues.
According to a source close to the situation, Williams’s family is “rooting” for her despite her court-ordered guardianship. This guardianship is in place due to her diagnoses of primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.
The source told People magazine, “Wendy Williams’s family cannot comment on her current condition or location due to ongoing legal proceedings and limited contact with her.”
However, they emphasized their continued support: “They are all rooting and praying for Wendy and wish to convey their well wishes as she celebrates her 60th birthday.”
The source further stated, “She was, is, and always will be an icon.”
Since April 2022, when the court-ordered guardianship began, her family has made efforts to stay connected with the former talk show host.
Recently, her representative criticized the Lifetime docu-series Where Is Wendy Williams? in light of her health situation.
