Pax Jolie-Pitt, the 20-year-old son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, was involved in an electric bicycle accident in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.
The incident occurred Monday at approximately 5 PM on Los Feliz Boulevard, a busy street during rush hour. Pax collided with the rear of a vehicle that had stopped at a red light, as reported by law enforcement.
The driver of the car immediately got out to assist Pax, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Emergency responders, including police and paramedics, arrived quickly. Witnesses reported that Pax complained of hip pain and appeared to have sustained a head injury. He was promptly transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Initial concerns from medics included the possibility of a minor brain bleed. However, recent updates indicate that Pax is in stable condition and may be discharged later today.
Pax, the fourth of Angelina and Brad’s six children, has recently been seen riding a BMX-style e-bike around Los Angeles, often without a helmet. California’s helmet laws vary depending on the type of bicycle, making it unclear if a helmet was required for his specific e-bike. Nonetheless, wearing one might have mitigated today’s accident.
In addition to his recent accident, Pax has had minor acting roles, including a voice part in “Kung Fu Panda 3” and an uncredited appearance in his mother’s film “Maleficent.”
Efforts to reach Angelina Jolie’s representatives for further comment have yet to yield a response.
