The highly anticipated Hollywood film “Deadpool & Wolverine” debuted on July 26 and has already set numerous box office records, including the highest global opening since “Avatar: The Way of Water.” Despite its international success, the film has seen a slowdown in India. According to the latest report from Sacnilk.com, “Deadpool & Wolverine” has accumulated an estimated ₹78.9 crore nett in the Indian market so far.
Performance in India:
The film, featuring Marvel superheroes portrayed by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, had a strong start with an opening weekend collection of ₹21 crore on Friday. The film’s performance continued to impress over the weekend, earning ₹22.65 crore nett on Saturday and ₹22.3 crore nett on Sunday.
In “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Ryan Reynolds returns as the wise-cracking Deadpool, who, instead of joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as offered by the Time Variance Authority, recruits a variant of Wolverine to prevent the extinction of his universe. The film also stars Emma Corrin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Aaron Stanford, Morena Baccarin, and Matthew Macfadyen, among others.
