On Saturday, Zendaya attended Tom Holland’s final performance of “Romeo & Juliet” at the Duke of York Theatre in London’s West End. She was seen smiling and carrying a large bouquet of roses, likely a gift for Holland.
The Spider-Man actress wore a white tank top under a tan jacket with floral appliqués, paired with wide-legged denim jeans. She completed her outfit with brown Christian Louboutin heels and carried a Louis Vuitton handbag. Zendaya had her blonde hair down and wore natural makeup.
Holland starred as Romeo in the adaptation directed by Jamie Lloyd, with Francesca Amewudah-Rivers playing Juliet. Although Holland is now famous for his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he began his career in theater, playing the lead role in “Billy Elliot The Musical.”
Zendaya has attended several shows, but she and Holland often leave discreetly due to the crowds at the stage door. They have been spotted around London and were even filmed sharing a kiss in the city.
In April, Zendaya told Vogue she was “incredibly proud” of Holland’s work in the Shakespearean play. “I’m going to try to see as many shows as I can,” she said.
She also praised Holland for how he handled his rise to fame after the release of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” in 2017. While Zendaya’s career was already established, Holland’s fame “changed overnight.”
“We were both very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight. One day you’re a kid at the pub with your friends, and the next day you’re Spider-Man,” she said. “I definitely watched his life change in front of him. But he handled it beautifully.”
