Timothée Chalamet was seen enjoying a casual outing on Sunday in Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old Dune star, who recently had a romantic date with Kylie Jenner, took a break from his busy schedule to have brunch with his mother, Nicole Flender.
Chalamet was dressed in an unbuttoned shirt over a white T-shirt, paired with baggy shorts that revealed his grey underwear. Flender, on the other hand, wore a tank top featuring colorful images reminiscent of the Mexican Lotería card game, similar to bingo. She completed her outfit with white shorts, flatform sandals, and carried an oversized brown purse.
This mother-son outing was a rare sight as Chalamet has been spending a lot of time with Kylie Jenner, the founder of Kylie Cosmetics. In March 2022, Flender expressed her support for her children’s career choices, stating in an interview with The Guardian, “I’m happy that they’re successful and safe and healthy, and I would feel that way no matter what their profession was.”
In 2018, Timothée shared his gratitude for his parents’ support with ABC News, saying, “My parents have been proud. I got really, really lucky with my parents.”
Marc Chalamet and Nicole Flender welcomed Timothée in 1995 after meeting in New York City. It is not known when they got married. In a 2022 interview with RSNG, Timothée spoke about his parents’ relationship while promoting his film, The French Dispatch. “I loved The French Dispatch because it really reminded me of my father’s heritage and how he met my mother,” he said.
He recalled that his father was on a business trip to New York while working as a journalist for Le Parisien, a French newspaper. Now, his father works at the United Nations. His mother was a dancer when she met his father and now works in real estate. “But you could see the parallels,” Timothée concluded.
